Printed Programs
Professionally printed programs can be used for many different things, including:
- Conferences
- Event meetings
- Special events
- Business agendas
- Business meetings
- Musical programs
- Theater programs
- Charity events
Printed programs can also be assembled in many different fashions; they can be a printed booklet, brochure type program, a pamphlet style, or even a more extended catalog type program. The size and style of your printed program will of course be determined by what you want to say, and who you are saying it too.
You can use printed programs to clearly layout the agenda of your meeting, the order of activities in your event, a list of participants or attendees, or even a list of your important sponsors and donors. Printed programs also work well as a souvenir, or professional reminder of what happened at the event or meeting.
Non-Profits
Non-profit organizations can use professionally created and printed programs for many different reasons, including highlighting capital campaigns, sponsors, and special donors. You can also use them to shine a light on upcoming programs, special participants, or give thanks and praise to your volunteers.
What is normally included in an event or meeting program?
Of course there are a multitude of things you can include in your program that will enhance your meeting, conference or event … but some of the things you will usually see includes:
- Cover page with name of event and sponsors (with date)
- Intro from president, chairman, director or manager
- Schedule of events, time, date, place and duration
- List of speakers and their times
- List of entertainment
- List of any special guests
- Sponsors and possibly their advertisements
- Compelling content about your company or organization
- List of any items for sale or products available at event
- A Thank-you message and list of volunteers
- Calendar of upcoming events
- Full color pictures of participants in past events
How are printed programs bound?
Obviously it depends on the size of the conference, event or meeting and how many pages you will need to include all of the pertinent info you need to share with your participants. For smaller events that may only need a 4 page program, they are simply folded in half creating a simple 4 page program. Multi-sheet programs are bound by what is called a saddle stitch, which is a thin wire or spiral binding, and is an option for thicker programs. To accommodate a saddle stitch binding, your program will have to come in pages of 4—your program could be 4, 8, 12, 16, 20, or 24 and so on.
What graphics or pictures can be added?
Pretty much anything you can imagine can be added to your program; from full color pictures, to graphics, special images, pictures from past events etc. Pretty much anything that is relevant to the event and your cause can and should be added to the program. But keep in mind, the content is the most important, so don’t dominate the entire program with pictures and graphics, because you don’t want to make it hard for your participants to find the info they are most interested in.
And keep your graphics professional and clear looking … nothing is worse than seeing reproduced photos or art that is faded or looks like it came from a third-party source.
At Griffith Printing we can provide you with professionally printed programs that not only enhance the quality of your meeting, conference or special event, but they can also increase your results and help you meet your goals.
